Parent Resources

Hunter's safety instructs participants in firearm safety and handling, in practical understanding of current laws and regulations, in safety afield as well as the ethics and responsibilities that come with hunting.   Completing a hunter safety course provides a clear understanding of how to have a fun, successful, and ethical hunt.

‍All students who participate in our upcoming 2023 Middle School Deer Hunt MUST have completed a hunter's safety course.  Our course is free.  Parent (s) are encouraged to attend alongside the student.

Join us for our final Lake Day of the 2023 season at Lake Cammack.  Like the previous event, this is for the whole family.  We begin at 3:30 pm at the Pavilion.  Food and drinks provided. Restrooms are on site.

Boats pulling students on tubes!  It's fun.  It's free.

Middle-School

Middle school is a season of change, discovery, and big questions. As students navigate new friendships, challenges, and influences, we want them to know that their identity is found in Jesus Christ and their foundation is built on the truth of God's Word.

At Legacy Church, we're passionate about creating a place where middle school students feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Through biblical teaching, authentic worship, meaningful friendships, and intentional discipleship, we help students develop a faith that goes beyond Sunday mornings and shapes the way they live every day.

We believe students don't have to wait until they're older to make a difference. God can use them right now to influence their schools, friendships, families, and communities.

What can students expect?

  • Biblical Teaching – Relevant, Scripture-centered messages that help students navigate real-life challenges with God's truth.
  • Worship – Opportunities to connect with God and grow in their understanding of what it means to worship Him.
  • Community – A welcoming environment where students can build genuine friendships and experience a sense of belonging.
  • Intentional Discipleship – Leaders who invest in students, encourage their faith, and challenge them to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Our vision is to equip middle school students to know, love, and serve Jesus in a way that transforms the world around them.

Events & Activities

There's always something happening in Legacy Middle School! Beyond our weekly gatherings, students have opportunities throughout the year to connect with friends, build relationships, have fun, and grow in their faith through special events and activities.

Summer Camp | Crowders Camps

Each summer, our middle and high school students have the opportunity to attend Crowders Camps for an unforgettable week of worship, friendships, exciting activities, and spiritual growth. It's one of the highlights of our year as students step away from their everyday routines, deepen their relationships with one another, and experience what God is doing in their lives.

Camp dates vary each year, so stay connected for registration details and upcoming announcements!

Refocus is an online resource created specifically for personal spiritual formation in the lives of Middle Schoolers & their families. It is designed to include practical life skills & relevant application of biblical truth.

Refocus is a resource…it’s a journey…it’s an experience that we are creating for our Middle School families --- Refocus is intentionally designed to assist students and their families in several ways.

Yes, it’s personal spiritual growth.  It includes intentional daily sessions designed to facilitate interaction between students and their families.  Many of the sessions can be completed in 7 minutes or less.  Some sessions include activities that go beyond 7 minutes.  Refocus is packed with personal devotional content that includes practical life skills specifically geared for Middle School students.

Recognizing the variety of our unique learning styles, the daily sessions are communicated in ways that connect with “your particular learning style.”  It’s an online tool, but it’s designed to be printed out (if you so choose) so you can utilize its content even when you aren’t online.

Our walk with God and our worship of God are two of life’s most priceless treasures and we want to help students in their daily journey alongside our King. Refocus will be launched from our Middle School webpage. Each week, you can expect at least 4 days worth of content for students to interact with....(Day One, Day Two, Day Three and so on).  Content will also be archived so individuals can access previous sessions and videos.

How do I check-in?

The fastest and best process for check-in for you family is to pre-register. Once registered you can check-in on the app on your phone before arriving and scan the QR code at any check-in station. Sticker(s) will be printed out for your children and their bag for preschool age

Check-in is available 20 minutes before service begins, in a foyer at one of our checkin stations Preschool and Elementary parents must pick up their security ticket , if using the mobile app it stores it for you, and ensure their children are in their proper room before going to their group or entering the sanctuary.  Middle and High School students may check themselves in and out once service has ended. All children are required to wear their name tag on the front of their clothing so their name is visible. Preschool and Elementary parents must have their pick up ticket when collecting your children.  It’s our desire to keep your children safe so we require all parents to present matching ID #’s to team members.
‍

What are your safety protocols?

At Legacy Church, the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority. We've established check-in procedures and security measures to create a safe, welcoming environment where students can connect, grow, and focus on their relationship with Jesus.

Check-In & Attendance

  • All students must check in at a designated station upon arrival and wear their printed name tag throughout the service.
  • We encourage students to use the restroom before service begins to help minimize interruptions.
  • Once service begins, students are expected to remain in their designated ministry areas until dismissal.

Dismissal & Early Pick-Up

  • Students are dismissed at the conclusion of the service and may meet their parents or guardians at a previously arranged location.
  • If your student needs to leave early, a parent or guardian must come to the ministry area to pick them up in person.

Health & Wellness

To help maintain a healthy environment for everyone, we ask that students stay home when experiencing symptoms of illness or when they may be contagious.

Campus Safety

The safety of our students is a responsibility we take seriously. All staff and volunteers serving in student ministries are required to complete background checks. Our campus is monitored by security personnel and surveillance cameras, and all exterior doors across campus are secured once services begin to help maintain a safe environment for everyone.

These measures allow students to worship, learn, and build relationships in a safe and secure setting.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe environment where students can build friendships, grow in their faith, and experience the love of Jesus at Legacy Church!

How do you address injuries & first aid?

The health and well-being of every student is important to us. Minor injuries, such as small cuts and scrapes, may be treated with basic first aid by authorized team members.

If a student experiences an injury that requires additional attention, a parent or guardian will be notified. An incident report will be completed to document the injury, and a copy will be provided to the parent or guardian.

For the safety of our students, volunteers are not permitted to administer over-the-counter medications.

Emergency Procedures

At Legacy Church, we take emergency preparedness seriously. Our staff, volunteers, and security team work together to maintain a safe environment and respond appropriately should an emergency arise.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a serious medical emergency, emergency services will be contacted immediately, and parents or guardians will be notified as soon as possible.

Your child's safety matters to us. Thank you for trusting Legacy Church and partnering with us to provide a safe, secure environment for every student.
